Compress PDF to 300KB β€” Free, No Upload

For certificate PDFs capped at 300KB

Compress a PDF to 300KB for a notice that stops at that size. Nothing is uploaded. 300KB means 300,000 bytes.

Strong compression turns pages into images

To hit a small target, each page may be saved as a JPEG. Text on those pages is not selectable or searchable, and a screen reader cannot read it. If the file already fits, the original text is kept.

Up to 50 MB. The file is read in this tab and is not uploaded.

Size or quality

Target size tries to finish at or under the limit. Quality level is a fixed setting when you do not have a number to hit.

Trying for 300 KB (3,00,000 bytes).

Best for photocopies and camera scans. Colour photos of documents get much smaller in gray.

Where 300KB shows up

The Joint CSIR-UGC NET December 2026 information bulletin says the disability or UDID certificate, the result-awaited attestation, and the category certificate β€” where they apply β€” must be a PDF between 50 kb and 300 kb. A file over 300 kb needs to come down. A file already inside that band should be left alone.

Other portals, including some PAN supporting-document instructions, have used a figure around 300KB. Read the page you are uploading to. JEE Main 2027 certificate sizes were not confirmed from an NTA bulletin when this was checked on 19 October 2026.

What you give up at 300KB

A short digital PDF often stays under 300,000 bytes after a structure rewrite, and the text stays selectable. A phone scan of several colour pages usually becomes JPEG pages. Keep the original if you still need to copy text. If the result is under 50KB and your notice has a 50 kb minimum, the file is too small β€” scan it more clearly instead of uploading the over-compressed copy.

How to use the Compress PDF to 300KB

  1. Add the certificate PDF

The file is processed on your device and is not uploaded.

  2. Keep 300KB selected

300KB means 300,000 bytes. Grayscale starts on for scans.

  3. Compress

A text PDF under the limit can keep selectable text. A scan is rebuilt page by page.

  4. Check both ends of the range

If the notice says 50 kb to 300 kb, do not upload a result that fell under 50KB. Scan again instead.

Compress PDF to 300KB FAQ

Which official notice uses 300KB?

The Joint CSIR-UGC NET December 2026 information bulletin caps the disability or UDID certificate, the result-awaited attestation, and the category certificate at 300 kb, with a 50 kb minimum, in PDF. Confirm the line in the bulletin before you rely on it. JEE Main 2027 certificate sizes were not confirmed from NTA on 19 October 2026.

Is 300KB the same as 300,000 bytes?

On this page, yes. A portal that counts 1 KB as 1,024 bytes allows up to 307,200 bytes, so a file under 300,000 bytes still fits.

What if the PDF is already between 50KB and 300KB?

Leave it. Compressing further can push a valid file under the 50 kb minimum or turn text into a picture for no reason.

Will text stay searchable?

It does when the structure rewrite is enough. If the result says the pages are JPEG images, the text layer is gone. Keep the original.

Is my certificate uploaded?

No. The file is processed by JavaScript inside your browser tab and never sent to our servers. Closing the tab clears it from memory.

Quick answers

Do EasyPDFHub tools upload my files to a server?

No. EasyPDFHub runs conversions and edits inside your web browser using JavaScript libraries such as pdf-lib and the Canvas API. When you pick a file, it stays on your device in memory until you download the result. We do not operate a file-upload API for PDF or image processing, so there is no account, queue, or cloud storage step. That makes the tools suitable for contracts, payslips, ID scans, and other sensitive documents you would not email to a random website. You need a modern browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari) and a stable device β€” very large files may be slower because processing uses your CPU, not remote servers. Always keep a backup of originals before editing.
