Password UIDAI publishes

First four characters of the name after spaces are removed, in capitals, then the year of birth. P. KUMAR and 1990 becomes P.KU1990. Last checked 19 October 2026.

The format and the examples are on the e-Aadhaar password guide. This page does not download Aadhaar. An unlocked copy can fail UIDAI’s digital-signature check, so keep the original PDF.

Private by Design β€” Unlock Only Files You Own

Your PDF and password are processed in this browser tab and never sent to a server. This tool needs the correct password: it cannot crack unknown passwords or remove DRM. Only unlock documents you own or have permission to change. e-Aadhaar is digitally signed by UIDAI. Keep the original download. Use the unlocked copy only for your own reading.

How to use the e-Aadhaar PDF Password

  1. Type the name on the Aadhaar

Use the spelling on the card, including a full stop. Spaces are removed for you.

  2. Type the year of birth

Four digits, such as 1990. The password is the first four characters of the name in capitals plus that year.

  3. Add the PDF you already downloaded

This page does not connect to UIDAI. You need the e-Aadhaar file on your device.

  4. Unlock a copy and keep the original

The download opens without a password. The UIDAI signature applies to the original file, so do not throw that away.

e-Aadhaar PDF Password FAQ

What is the e-Aadhaar PDF password?

UIDAI says it is the first 4 letters of the name in capitals plus the year of birth. Their examples: SURESH KUMAR, 1990 is SURE1990. SAI KUMAR is SAIK1990. P. KUMAR is P.KU1990, because the full stop stays and the space is dropped. RIA is RIA1990, because the name is shorter than four characters.

Will the unlocked file still be digitally signed?

Do not count on it. The handbook says e-Aadhaar is digitally signed by UIDAI. Unlocking writes a new PDF. Keep the file you downloaded from myAadhaar for any check that looks at the signature.

Can this download my Aadhaar?

No. It only opens a PDF you already have, using the password you build from the name and year you type.

What if the password does not work?

Check the name against the PDF, not against a shortened name you use elsewhere. A full stop and the order of the words both change the first four characters.

Is my name or the PDF uploaded?

No. The file is processed by JavaScript inside your browser tab and never sent to our servers. Closing the tab clears it from memory.

Quick answers

Do EasyPDFHub tools upload my files to a server?

No. EasyPDFHub runs conversions and edits inside your web browser using JavaScript libraries such as pdf-lib and the Canvas API. When you pick a file, it stays on your device in memory until you download the result. We do not operate a file-upload API for PDF or image processing, so there is no account, queue, or cloud storage step. That makes the tools suitable for contracts, payslips, ID scans, and other sensitive documents you would not email to a random website. You need a modern browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari) and a stable device β€” very large files may be slower because processing uses your CPU, not remote servers. Always keep a backup of originals before editing.
